Reservations
Q: What is the minimum/maximum number of guests you will accommodate?
|
We will accommodate as few as 3 guests, and up to 12 guests. If you do not reserve all the rooms for your party, the remaining rooms will be available to other guests who may or may not reserve them for the same dates. This means there is a possibility that you will share the Inn with others. If you want to ensure you have the Inn exclusively, you will need to reserve and pay for all the rooms during your stay.
|
| Q: I have a small group. Can I make a reservation and not be forced to pay a 'minimum amount' like other retreats? |
Yes! You only pay for the room you reserve, you are not forced to pay a minimum amount to reserve the entire retreat. You will reserve your own bedroom or bedrooms and will not have to share your bedroom with strangers. If your group does not book all the bedrooms, we will make the remaining rooms available to other small groups.
|
| Q: I don't want to make my reservation online. What are my other options? |
You can call or email us and we will take care of you. See the Contact Us page for our phone number and email address. |
Payment & Deposit
| Q: What payment methods do you accept? |
We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express. If you reserve online, your reservation is confirmed immediately. Your personal information, including your credit card, is transmitted over a secure, encrypted connection.

|
| Q: Is my deposit refundable? |
Yes, there are cases when your deposit is fully refundable. See our policies found on the Policies page for more information.
|
| Q: When is my deposit and full payment due? |
Your deposit is due whenever you are ready to book your stay. Once your deposit is received, your reservation is accepted into our system.
The remaining balance is due 30 days prior to your check-in day. You are more than welcome to pay your entire balance when your reservation is made or any time up to 30 days prior to your check-in stay. If you are not paid in full within 30 days of your check-in day, your reservation may be cancelled and deposit forfeited. If reserved with a credit card, amount due will automatically be charged to your card 30 days prior to your reservation date.
If your time of booking is less than 30 days from your check-in day, full payment is due immediately to complete your reservation.

Meals are served for 45 minutes after serve time. The exception is Saturday morning’s Early Riser snacks which are available throughout the morning.
|
| Q: What if we want to change meal times throughout the weekend? |
Serve time changes are at the discretion of the chef and all guests would have to be in agreement. If it makes sense for the entire group and it works within the chef’s schedule, we are happy to adjust.
|
| Q: Does the chef cater to special needs diets? |
The chef does not cater to specific diets; however, when possible they are happy to make small changes to individual meals if it doesn’t adversely affect the outcome of the meal and doesn’t result in delayed serve times.
|
| Q: When shall we expect the chef to arrive? |
Generally the chef will arrive 1-2 hours before serve time.
|
| Q: May we use the foods marked “Catering Use Only” for the chef if we need to? |
We ask that you don’t use any food items marked “Catering Use Only” because it may delay meal times as those products are for your meals and will have to be immediately replaced by the chef. The cost to replenish these foods or supplies may be charged to you.
|
| Q: May guests use the chef's utensils, pots, pans or supplies if guests want to cook something during their stay? |
The Inn supplies guests with all these items. The chef may also have additional supplies available. Anything in the kitchen not marked “Catering Use Only” is always available for use.
|
| Q: Does the chef clean up after the meals/snacks guests make for themselves? |
No, the chef is only available to prepare meals and clean up after these meals. If the chef has to clean the kitchen prior to preparing meals, serve times may be delayed. If the cleanup is excessive for the chef, additional costs may be incurred.
|
| Q: Will the chef take care of problems that arise at the Inn for us? |
The chef is happy to answer any questions that she can and she can handle small issues; for example, “there is no more toilet paper upstairs.” However, larger issues such as “the a/c stopped working” or “the cable went out” will be resolved by Memory Lane Inn. Contact the innkeeper immediately for such issues.
|
| Q: Is the chef responsible for taking out the garbage? |
The chef removes the kitchen trash after each meal. Guests are responsible for emptying the trash between meals if necessary. A large trash bin is available outside to keep all the trash.
